Happy Cinco de Mayo!
And also, Happy Sunday! We hope you have a colorful day if you partake in all the beautiful Cinco de Mayo celebrations around South Florida. Here it is truly a National Holiday and we enjoy it among friends and family.
As a little treat for today we are including a beautiful Cinco de Mayo inspired editorial filled with color and love. Inspired by spring and the Mexican culture we took a pastel color palette approach to a wedding inspiration. Taking elements from Mexico, like Patron Margarita bottles as bud vases, the hacienda cake cart and sombreros in the mix we put together a shoot inspired by some of our favorite things from Cinco de Mayo. We wanted to keep the beautiful colors that are usually part of this day but with spring to summer in mind we went the route of a softer look. A mix of blooms and greens were the perfect complement for the space which is a historic site with an hacienda inspiration and it’s already filled with gorgeous bougainvilleas that color the space. We did not go short on details, incorporating a pink grapefruit Margarita, handwritten watercolor stationery, a lounge space with a vintage patchwork sofa and fruits & florals to match and wrapped it all up with candles everywhere and a sip of the Mexican favorite “jarritos”. It was all about incorporating details of the culture and the romance between our bride and groom. In a place like South Florida we are lucky to have gorgeous spaces like Curtiss Mansion where all the colors can come to life for the perfect Miami Wedding
